...about Hallowe'en are:
1. The colours are orange and black, NOT lime green or purple!
2. Christmas OK-- Hween lights, no!
3. The words are "Trick or Treat" NOT "Happy Hallowe'en!
4. Halloween cards-- wrong!
5. Halloween gifties-- right out!
6. The name of the month is October, not Hallowe'en.
7. Wasn't there a number seven?
To
be fair, fogeys, more fogey than I, probably regret the loss of the
trick part. Some older folks are even dismayed that the holiday is more
for adults than children. At least it's pagan.
